Our Favorite Part of a Wedding Day

Happy Summer, flower friends! As I was thinking about what to share with you on the blog this month, I thought it might be fun to change things up a bit. Instead of giving you another “How To” or “Top 5” post, I wanted to share a video that is really special to me as a wedding and event florist. I do my best to share what goes on behind-the-scenes with you while I am designing the flowers for a wedding but today, I wanted to let you in even closer to my favorite part of a wedding day: delivering the bouquet to the bride!

Kerrie and Justin were married on November 11, 2018 at The Pershing in Austin, TX. I remember it being pretty chilly that day but running around the venue with buckets of flowers and setting up a floral installation for the ceremony warmed me and our team up quickly! After I had pinned the boutonniere onto the groom’s suit jacket, I walked upstairs with Kerrie’s bouquet as well as a few butterflies in my stomach. The butterflies were not out of nervousness wondering if she would like her bouquet but rather, out of pure excitement to see her face as I presented her with her beautiful bridal bouquet!

If you are curious to see her reaction + hear a few of my bouquet tips, click “Play” on the video below :)

Sending flower joy,
